Presentation skills for software developers
I launched the TechPresenting.com blog to help software developers build strong presentation skills. A software industry veteran I’ve given hundreds of internal and external presentations.
Introducing Andrew Biss
Hi, I’m Andrew Biss. In the software industry since 1980, I’ve held senior development, marketing and strategy positions at independent software vendors (ISVs) in the UK, US, France and Germany.
A hands-on business and technical innovator, I love helping people improve their products and processes. I’m currently putting new ideas and methods into practice here:

My interest in innovation started on the product side creating application software. More responsibility gave me the chance to expand into process innovation with people and project management.
Later promotions to increasingly senior management positions allowed me to at first influence, and then drive, change at company level. I was at my best when acting as de facto Chief Innovation Officer.
Born and raised in the UK, I worked in Paris from 1996 to 1998 but regrettably never learned much French. Since 2000 I’ve lived near Düsseldorf in Germany. My wife claims my German’s mostly OK, which is mostly reassuring.
If I wasn’t in the software industry, I’d like to be in audio engineering or lighting design. Even though I’ve not played much since I was in a punk-era band, I still hope to cross “Comfortably Numb” off my solo to-do list one day.
